Ryan Neitznick is a Pittsburgh CAPA (Pittsburgh High School For Creative and Performing Arts) Alum and a University of the Arts (Philadelphia) Performance/Composition Graduate.
Ryan teaches acoustic or electric guitar, ukulele and piano. Music Theory and Jazz/Fingerstyle Guitar are his fortes, but he is equipped to teach all styles to all ages.
Ryan is currently a music producer and studio owner at Ice House Recording. He also works part-time at the shop.
Adam's a singer, songwriter, guitar and bass player, professional actor and former puppeteer who's played in numerous bands since 1986 including his own band Captain Paradox. He first picked up a guitar in 1980 and hasn't put it down since. Adam's been teaching since 2002.
Due to his experience in puppet and children's theater, and his natural rapport with kids, Adam specializes in working with younger students and beginners of all ages. He also loves to work with budding songwriters and can offer voice coaching in conjunction with instrument lessons.
Adam has recently taken on drumming in a new band. He works part-time at Backstage, and it isn't unusual to see his furry friend Penny in tow (we're as dog friendly as it gets). He's also a working actor, check him out on IMDB.
Chris has had a passion for music and playing guitar from a young age. With a deep knowledge of rock, blues, and alternative music, he has excelled as both a lead and rhythm guitarist professionally for years.
Chris focuses on unlocking basic techniques and theory to further the skills of the beginning, average and intermediate guitarist. Stylistically, he focuses on rock and blues leads, and has professional experience in country and pop guitar as well.
You can find Chris playing around town with TC Davis Band and the popular Donnie Irish.
Wayne Smith teaches Guitar, Electric Bass, songwriting, theory, and improvisation. He has many years of experience teaching students of all ages & all levels -- beginner to advanced musicians. Wayne has a B.A. from Alderson Broaddus University & post graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
Wayne is comfortable teaching all styles of acoustic/electric guitar & bass; Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, slide guitar, & just about any style in between.
Wayne has performed up & down the East Coast, from large local venues - The First Niagara Pavilion to the famed jazz club - The Knitting Factory in NYC.
He has recorded at most major recording studios in Pittsburgh, playing on a variety of recordings by many different artists. He can be seen playing solo gigs and doing work with many different artists all over the city.
Devin has been actively playing drums since the age of 4, studying theory both independently and with Gary Polyfka from 2009-2014. He's primarily dealt with composing and performing heavy technical music. He has also performed in various other genres, including blues and rock.
Devin tailors lessons to each student, whether it be focusing on rhythmic theory, physical skills, or becoming proficient in a particular style, including metal, rock, blues, fusion, jazz, etc.
Composition for the progressive metal band Prominence. Writing, recording and performing with the band Grief Knot. Playing with blues band Proper People. Devin also currently works with various artists performing for recording session work.
