Music club is for anyone interested in music.  The best thing about Music Club is that you don’t have to play an instrument to get involved in the club.  It’s a great way to make new friends and provide you with the motivation you need to start playing an instrument.  All club meetings are in the comfort and safety of our Wexford store.  Our “Calendar of Events will have the most up-to-date information on when the club is running.   Each day runs from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Below are some examples of what a day in Music Club might be like.

Jam Session/Instructor Clinic

• This day will feature an intimidation-free jam session where students can play with anyone.  They will have the option to split into groups or just sit and listen.  Students are creating music on the spot, and your imagination is your only limit.
• Students have the opportunity to participate in a instructor-led clinic focusing on basic guitar techniques.

Guitar/Drum Tech Class

• Students will spend a day learning basic maintenance for their instrument.  This includes, but is not limited to hands-on training in…
  • taking apart a guitar/bass guitar and putting one back together.
  • taking apart drum kits/ learning how to tune them
  • restringing and learning proper intonation techniques

Gear Demonstration Day

• Students will be able to experiment with new gear that has arrived in our stores.
• An instructor will spend part of the day showing students how to properly dial in tone with amplifiers and effects pedals.  The instructor will also give detailed tips on how the pickups, switches, and knobs  on an electric guitar work and how you can make the same guitar sound different.
• Rooms will be available for kids to test the gear out together as a band.
